Notice to all AAUA Students and Staff.

The attention of the University Management has been drawn to the conduct of members of staff, students, and visitors coming into the Senate Building. It has been noted that:

• some members of staff/students often fail to put on their identity cards for identification by the security personnel at the main entrance of the Senate Building;
• some students/visitors are in the habit of resisting the attempt by the security personnel to inquire about the purpose of their visit;
• some staff/students/visitors are always in a hurry to exit the building, thereby walking against dedicated passages;
• some female students/visitors are in the habit of dressing in a provocative manner and often resist correction;
• some members of staff are in the habit of bringing in visitors without allowing them to complete the necessary forms at the reception.
The University Management therefore frowns on the above conduct by members of staff/students/visitors.
All members of staff, students, and visitors are enjoined to ensure that they maintain decorum at the Senate Building and desist from any conduct that could pose security threat. They also are to note that security personnel have been put on alert to ensure that decorum is maintained at the Senate Building.
All Heads of Department and Heads of Units with offices within the Senate Building are requested to pass this information to staff of their respective Departments/Units so that they can be properly guided and also inform their visitors.
Signed:
